Hi, thank you for shopping buy! We offer in this listing a cancelled stock certificate that the former holder owned 10 shares in the New York & New England railway.
THIS IS A REPRODUCTION, A COPY, and not the original.
This  has been digitally re-mastered to be printed on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of 24 lb quality paper. You get the front and back printed on the same sheet. This will be folded for shipping as per the folds were on the original.  The paper the original was printed on was very flimsy and thin. This allowed the front colors to be seen through onto the back side. We opted to leave this to preserve the integrity of the appearance of the original document. The holes you see and diamond shaped “hole” were cut into the original as part of the cancellation process to show that the certificate had been cashed in and the 10 shares were sold. Interesting piece of history. Dated January 15, 1894. This has been marked “copy” in several inconspicuous places on both the front and back sides.
